Hi guys,

How do I stop windows doing this?

I have access to my servers by the way - they work fine - but the icon is stamped as if it can't connect. Sometimes it doesn't have the red X on, sometimes it does.

I know its not major but it's annoying.

Thanks

Mapped so they are there at startup? Usually it's because Windows doesn't instantly see them due to the network loading after it checks local drives. Don't worry about it.

its showing as a disconnected mapped network drive.

either the PC has failed to connect to the network drive on startup or the server was rebooted\network issues when the PC was on

I don't bother mapping mine, I just use the run command to do it..

\\servername\sharename

I find Explorer is quicker when it doesn't have to worry about mapped drives.
