Why halo not on pc :(

Speaking of their strategy, wonder what's happening with their latest promise of concentrating more on the PC market.

Halo isn't overrated. You few just didn't like it as much as others did.

I prefer Halo to Half Life honestly. Better encounters, fun vehicles, more satisfying gunplay, great online aspects.

Not to mention the story is actually good, the character is actually.....a character and they don't just stop the story and not make any more.

Much like their previous promises from 1995, 1998, 2001, 2005, 2008, 2012 and their recent one. Saving face while not actually doing anything. Although I suppose Direct X 12 is something.

I really enjoyed Halo on PC actually. Played through it two or three times and played online loads.

We're getting some stuff. Gears of War Remake is coming. Fable Legends. Halo Wars. Gigantic.

But yea, doesn't sound like they're ready to start porting the heavy hitters.

Halo isn't considered to be that good by PC gaming standards. It's pretty generic.

Most likely it didn't sell very well on PC so they didn't bother porting it any more.

The single player of these games have been great (mainly the detail and love that Bungie put in) but really, the multiplayer is what made it a fantastic title.

Its a combination of the right time to kill, regen shields/headshot health system, map control that requires teamwork, weapon variation.... its a really great game. The newer titles have moved away from the core philosophy, but at its core its the only game I truly miss now that I've moved the PC gaming.

I'm keeping an eye on Halo Online on the mod community there... but I'm not holding out hope that Halo 5 or the HD remasters are coming any time soon.

Indeed. These devs/pubs should be dairy farmers with the amount of milking they do.

Exactly, rinse and repeat as many releases as they can. Most games just like movies (with some rare exceptions) are only truly great with the first couple of releases, prolonging the life cycle of sequels inevitably becomes boring and just not as good.

Because they prefer to take a payout from Microsoft for xbox "excusivity" instead of more people enjoying their work.

Obviously halo could have been better on pc, if done properly. I played one halo game once, it seemed pretty good but it's not as if the pc needs it. Their loss of sales and recognition but they got their cheque from MS so maybe they're happy enough with that.

The whole exclusivity thing seems so small minded and petty and patently anti-artistic but clearly they feel it works. I'm sure most gamers will not buy an xbox just for halo but presumably some do. Sounds like a marketing decision, not a developers one.

Works for Sony, bought PS3 for a bunch of exclusives but saying that it seems to have quite a few more and not just another shooter franchise.

Halo 1 + 2 are on PC (but hard to find).
Halo3 is on PC in Russia only right now.

You can also buy 2 x Halo Spartan Assault mobile games on Steam.

There is also a Halo DX12 RTS coming to Win 10 only sometime next year.

MS are unlikely to release the console exclusive Halo games on PC ever as they are console seller titles according to MS so until Xbox 360 emulation comes to Win 10 next year either buy a console or wait for MS to realise they should bring these to PC.

The Win 10 Xbox 360 emulation is literally that it emulates the console with no extra features but you will need either the original game on DVD or buy a digital version from MS. No date has been set for this its sometime in the next year or so.

Where did you hear this? Is this actually happening?

Dude, 343 Industries is a Microsoft development studio. They were not paid for exclusivity, they are a studio built from the ground up and supported by Microsoft.

I'd kill for the first 3 Halos on PC with updated graphics.

I was unstoppable on blood gulch ha
I'd honestly rather have The Master Chief Collection on PC than Halo 5.

But considering all the problems they had with the complexity of handling that collection, I'm guessing it'd be a huge task to get it over to PC.

Lol you have no idea what you are talking about.

If the Halo franchise was available for PC, there would literally be no reason to own an Xbox One... :p.
