Why has my SSD slowed down so much?

When I first purchased my 128GB SanDisk SSD it booted up Windows instantly but now on occasion it takes a good 30 seconds+

I've only had it for 4 months and i find it hard to believe that the performance declines over time.

how full is it?

might need a secure erase to restore lost performance,my corsair ssd needs it ever few months

I sorted my Corsair Force3 with a firmware upgrade and a full format and (touch wood) it's been fine since. I would suffer lock ups on somebody boot ups from "cold" as it were.

Is your mobo set to ahci mode in the bios?

Maybe Trim isn't working.
