I set it to the max number of posts per page so I have a use for my ipads scrolling feature. Then when I'm erect I can slap my wang on my ipad and scroll sensually.

As for the original question while cool is almost entirely relative and subjective I don't think there's any reasonable way to be supercilious about the amount of posts per page you use. I have mine set to 80ppp but that's because I'm a simple soul apt to be easily confused in long discussions if I've got to scroll between pages and try to remember comments. It's also a whole lot easier when moderating to follow the flow of a thread and determine if any action needs to be taken based on posts.
