Why is my room so dusty?

Afternoon guys,

My room is really dusty, I properly cleaned my room on Friday, hoovered my floor, bed, mattress. Cleaned all the surfaces, inside my PC, everything it was spotless. I was out all weekend and no one even entered my room and I came back to loads of dust.. It's always been dusty. Most things in my room being black doesn't really help but show it.

I have my windows open 24/7 as it's always really hot because the sun shines into my room and I like the fresh air.

How can I stop it from getting so dusty?

I've just cleaned the front of my blueray player and so you can see how bad it is.

Nope, my room backs onto the garden and there are no busy roads round.

Try with windows closed next time you are out for the same amount of time as a test.

I don't know, I just get in my car drive it and get out. I rarely clean it. The inside never looks dusty though.

I won't be out for a weekend for a long time, It was a messy weekend :(
 
Not sure if the age of the house has any effect on it - I used to have a room in a ~1930s build house and a flat that was built around 1990 and there was a noticeable difference in the amount of dust that would build up under similar usage.
