Why is my room so dusty?

I have my windows open 24/7 as it's always really hot because the sun shines into my room and I like the fresh air.
windows open 24/7 is probably the answer.

I live near a road that's not even that busy most of the time and my window ledge inside gets covered in crap from cars etc polluting

Dust isn't just dead skin cells

I don't know how people can live with windows closed, tho. We have all our windows open all the time, and yes, we have dust everywhere :/

But it's either that or steal air, isn't it?

I hate having my windows closed. It's horrible.

It's your deodorant / antiperspirant, start using it in the bathroom and you'll suddenly discover just how much TP dust there is in the air.

How do you guys know I use it in my room? (Which I do)

I'll give this a go.

I have the same issue, dust in my house gathers at a stupidly fast rate, though black TV's and black TV glass stand etc doesn't help, wood doesn't show dust as much unless you look closely.

But dust gathers in my room extremely fast, I have bright wood laminated flooring, you cannot see dust on it, nor can you on the bright wood desk, but anything black it looks like its been snowing after just a few hours.

I have my windows open through the day BUT I have a mesh screen on the windows to stop insects etc getting in and at night the window is closed, or it is closed if its cold.

Downstairs has dark wood flooring/surfaces and the dust shows on that. and there are screens on the doors and windows downstairs. so it cant be from outside as there is never any build up of dust on the screens.

Dust is shredded skin at the end of the day, but the amount that builds up after one day is stupid, iv actually no idea where it is all coming from
