Why is there a helicopter flying over my house at 5am?

Exactly the same here (Liverpool) whenever people are out, so that usually means Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. But then if the football's on then Tuesday and Wednesday too. And just because it feels left out Monday night as well.

Loud as hell.

Living in Suffolk is bliss, but don't tell anyone, we don't want northern chavs here!

I know it's great!

We do get the helicopter traffic from Wattisham flying over our house though, but that it mostly Apaches so I'm fine with that :):D

I live in a place which isn't far from Newcastle airport (or is at least in line with flight paths) is full of chavs getting chased by the police and right on the Tyne for sea rescue so triple helicopter whammy here!

I feel your whirling pain.

Lancashire Police operate an EC135 type helicopter, one of the quietest helicopters currently available. The pilots are always conscious of the noise and operate at a height given the requirements of the task. They don't stay any longer than they have to, but it's appreciated that the noise generated, may cause you some concern, but please be reassured that the aircraft will always be there for a good reason.

its always good to know its one of their quietest machines in their arsenal.

This one keeps flying around at the moment. Not sure what it is though.
