Why Saints Row 2 is better than GTA4

GTAIV for me, was good for the first hour or two of gameplay, but then got a bit same old same old. I ended up 'forcing' myself to complete it which seemed a chore, and after I completed it, I've never really played it since.

Was defo a step back from SA.

SR2, I never really gave the time of day tbh, I played it for about 15mins and just wasnt my bag, although I think I will give it a whirl sometime again..
 
Yea what I think is that a lot of the people that dont like GTAIV are the ones that properly went through San Andreas. Its actually a joke how much has been removed in IV. If you havent played SA that much then I think GTAIV probably does come across as an alright game. My theory anyway, I dont think its cool to hate GTAIV at all, it does just seriously lack!

I have played and completed every GTA game at least twice. Got to something like 98% completion in San Andreas and I loved GTAIV.

I think it's just that different strokes for different folks tbh!

'Different Strokes' - now there's a blast from the past... "what you talkin' bout Willis?"

Agreed.

I played through VC and SA again on the build up to IV, and I really enjoyed it.
 
I never really liked Niko as a main character and found the GTA 4 storyline a bit ghey in parts but it was still a great game. I'm enjoying TLAD more because it has a decent main character.
 
i couldn't wait for gta 4, in my eyes each gta game surpassed the previous. gta 4 however in my eyes it failed in this respect, i prefer the previous version then gta4. I just couldn't get into it and for me it seemed the humour which i loved from the previous gta's was gone. I hated the controls and cars in it. In my eyes sr2 is a much better games, graphically it may be below gta4 but in everything else it shines.

(co-op in saints row is brilliant)
