Poll: Why this forum doesn't have an option for a custom avatar made by a user ?

I was just wondering why does this forum has it's own "pre-sets" of avatars rather than allowing users to upload their own ? I know that besides a space of uploaded avatar/saved space there's not much benefit of it in my opinion. What's your opinion on it guys ?

It provides a standardised aesthetic and theme for the forum. If you want customization then you can put a 400x75 pixel image in your signature.
