why would an ssd take an age to boot

So.i have a c300 128gb ssd. First time using it is with my new pc.2600k asus p8p67 deluxe 8gb ram. It takes several minutes to boot on a clean install of win 7 pro. Ahci is set in bios and running latest firmware. Currently plugged.into 1 6gb port. Another with different brand causes it to bluescreen. Any ifeas? Sorry for poor grammar using phone

Have you tried any benchmarks? (simplest test to run would be the windows experience score thing)

Also, have you installed any other drivers yet?

Not tried any benchmarks yet as ive been trying to resolve.other issues. Ive tried.both 6gb ports and a 3gb port no change. Also tried.both ide and ahci. Will try a windows reinstall next. The odd thing is that it seems.to work fine in windows stuff loads instantly

What drivers should i install and from where?
