WHY would you do this??

I have known of whole bumpers on sport models being pinched!

After replacing mine, it is very very easy to do. Literally 2 big bolts, and about 6 little ones and it is away! (The front anyways)

And no, it is not how I got mine... ;-)

Is it a case of a part being colour coded on yours and not on all models? If that's the case they might come back for the other one...

Are you sure it wasn't removed for body repairs when you had that small ditch mishap?

If you think it happened in town - Would it be worth checking for any CCTV.

Don't waste your time, even if they were caught on CCTV and turned around and smiled nobody will do anything about it. The guy who drove into the side of my wifes Mazda, got out was identified by a secruity guard CCTV and two other witnesses still walked free. He was never even charged with it through apparent 'Lack of evidence'. He was charged with driving without insurance and received a £25 fine for causing £800 of damage. Doubt very much they will treat vandalism any different for a £60 piece of trim.

I can afford a nice car but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night with it parked on the street and in public places so I drive an old cheap car out of choice. What a country.

One of the reasons I'm selling my Yaris. Ok it's just a Yaris but it's a nice car.

It was probably a "Tree hugging anti carbon hippy" that you have offended -

Disclaimer - I have been at the Brighton hospital everyday this week and no where near your neck of the woods

I can be his alibi, I was at home and I have alibies too.

Shame that you can't enjoy anything nice without someone else spoiling it, sums up the current state of affairs I am afraid. :(

Unlucky fella, sorry to hear that, and I know how you feel. Some scummy barsteward half hinched my fog lights last year and it cost me about £60 to replace them

Seems the part ALONE is £60, plus painting on top of that.

Answered your own question mate!

About 3 years ago i was told about one of the accountants my mother-in-law works with. He bought himself a top of the line BMW, im not sure of the model but i know it was a 'silly money' BMW.

One afternoon he pops to his car for some paperwork only to discover that someone had removed all the trim from the car. We are talking complete bumpers, everything they could get out without setting the alarm off. Whats worse was that it was a summers day, on market day with 100's of people around and not one of them thought it was an odd sight and called the police.

Real scum in the world!

Gutted :(

It was bad enough when someone nicked my GTi6 badges (only £10!) but it's still the thought that someone has been tinkering with your motor that does you :(

My parents had the same thing with the old 205 GTI. The plastic GTI strips went missing every other week. Some toe rag probably had a collection of them up on his bedroom wall.

Somone knicked a load of bits of my girlfriedns corsa too. A rear mud flap (yes, just the one) and the aerial  . Made sure the replacements were secured with superglue. :p

Unlucky Fox!

Each time I leave my car and come back to it I give it the once over. I'm expecting at some point someone will do something to it. Sad state of affairs but the only other choice you have is not to own a nice car :(

You're not having much luck at the moment are you matey... :(

Hope you get it sorted and that 2007 brings you good driving and car ownership fortune!

i do feel your pain... someone nicked the blue for oval off my escort last year. thieving gits. :(

not as nasty as trying to lever the top of the door open though(bit drafty when i noticed...) when theres a lock held in with filler lol.
