get the 17-40mm and save the rest for another lens later, on its a cracking lens

It most certainly is. I'd wait for it to get back in stock and make do with the 17-40 for the moment. You'll be glad you waited when you finally get your hands on it.

35 sigma 1.4 + 17-40(if i can find the sigma in stock for £500?)
24L
16-35L.
