I have a phobia of people who don't recognise that the word "weird" is an exception to the i before e rule.

'I' before 'e' rule has more exceptions than words which actually apply. So it's not a rule. I love QI

Being anywhere near a group of pigeons.

One or two pigeons I don't mind as I can just stomp my right foot and them fly away. However, a group of pigeons just send shivers down my spine. I'll do anything to avoid being near them

Rough metal kitchen utensils. We had some old metal measuring cups that I ended up just throwing out because I couldn't even look at them

Obviously the wife had to actually throw them out...

Buoys and anything else man made in water.Cant go near one on holiday as i freak out.Brushed past one which happened to be about two feet under surface when i was a child.It was black with rust all over and scared the life out of me quite literally as i nearly drowned from panicking.Dad had to swim out for me.

i can't stand leftover food...makes me cringe. hate seeing it, have to leave the room if someone at work puts it into the microwave. If someone would even open a tin of beans i could not use the other half an hour later.

I've got a phobia of swimming in open water where I cannot see the bottom. Im absolutely fine in a pool, even deep pools as it doesnt even cross my mind, yet the open sea is something else entirely.

I still have my childhood fear of the dark which includes dim lighting and dark corners. This itself isn't weird, but the fact that I'm more susceptible to stimulus/triggers coming from the right hand side of me, is weird. Is this known to anyone else?
