Wii controller lag?

I have noticed lag in Zelda, but it has always been when I have had the controller pointing above the screen to get rid of the blue pointer and I go into something that need the pointer on the screen (like the menu or for shooting). There is normally a second of lag as it is registering the pointer back on the screen, and then it's fine again. I've never experienced it when the controller has already been pointed at the screen.

playing on both my friends wiis, you notice lag on Red Steel and Zelda (you point the remote at something and the dot moves to that location almost instantly).

There is a pointer delay in some games compared to the Wii system menu. I've noticed it in Zelda and Red Steel but not in Rayman (the shooting bits feel spot on :)). You don't keep the pointer on the screen for Wii Sports games but the 1:1 mapped bat in baseball isn't laggy. Boxing feels laggy but I think its down to the inaccurate detection of punches. Half the time your punches don't register or end up different to the punch you tried to do.

Well, I got one today, it was a total suprise :)

Controller lags a bit here and there, I can't fathom the boxing at all (got beaten by my 5 year old son)

I have to say, it's incredible fun :D

Wii Sports and Play are all I have at the minute, more will soon follow.

Merry Christmas all

I've noticed the lag, especially in Red Steel which is horrible to control, slowly getting used to it, anytime you're using it like a mouse too its a bit laggy.

I'm not sure I'm convinced by the movement control, Wii Sports Tennis never seems to do what I'm telling it to do, whereas my brother and his GF make it look easy

I think us PC perfectionists have become too concerned with FPS and Dpi over the years, the control method isn't perfect on the Wii but it's just such damn good fun, the slight random element works in a room of people, the rest of the family would soon get sick of us winning if it were 100% precise :)
