Wii US launch

Is it just me or does it seem that the US launch went off amazingly well? The general attitudes and atmosphere of all the places selling them and people queueing up seem to be much more relaxed and happy, especially compared to the ps3 and 360 launches! Also from everything I have read it seems pretty much everyone is really really impressed with the Wii. I can't wait till I can get one! Anyone else following the US launch - what are your impressions from what you have read?

Yeah, however that wasn't difficult as Nintendo were fully prepared for the launch date and hadn't changed it several times, as a result they easily met their target.

As I think I said in another thread, Nintendo's launch of the Wii was pretty much the model for how a console launch should be.

Well organised and a plentiful supply of the console.

Isnt that what they initially said about the 360 though ?

Best comment I heard was that Wii manufacturing had exceeded expectations.

Id put money on the PS3 selling a TON more than the Wii if Sony were able to actually make them

Sounds good - a Wii shall be something on my list of wishes this christmas - and hopefully with some decent supplies i might actually get hold of one before the year is out

Have you seen how many people have put their Nintendo Wii's on the bay though. There's like 18000 up for sale lol.

Do a search on ebay US and you will see more than 15,000 PS3 consoles listed!

No wonder why there are some violence at PS3 launch!
