Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

I'm very happy to admit when I'm wrong.

So time to say I've been playing this since a week after release and it's a very good MMO.

Currently got a 45 medic and 49 warrior, but I'm about to reroll on Hazak due to Ascendency being dead.

It does amaze me at time that people expect a completely bug free and polished experience from a new MMO.

But what I will say is for some crazy reason this game is loosing players faster then ESO did and in fact ESO IS gaining players.

If anyone wants to join me on Hazak, just let me know.

The reason a lot of people left (including me) was because the PvP was broken in Beta, then broken on release (all the same issues) and then broken after the second drop (mostly the same issues). The game for me at least, had nothing without good PvP content.
 
I really want this to survive but at the moment I am not logging in as much, the Cities are dead and all servers are low :(

I really enjoy the PvE side of things but at the moment the population is not right for the amount of teamwork needed to get silver on Vet runs and such.

Might log back in tonight see how it is.
 
I'm still really enjoying this game, yesterdays patch was really good for PvP as well, think it's in a really good place now PvP.

I think you should look for a more populated/active guild clartymarty, there is never a shortage of people to run silver dungeons with in my guild, or worldbosses, or raids (3 times a week for us), etc. We are always attuning up new players via all those.

And there are quite a few Dominion guilds bigger than us on Ravenous.

Shame you are not Dominion or I would say join us!

Maybe transfer to Hazak? I have alts on Hazak Exile side and it is much much busier. But I know that's not always an option with friends etc on your current server.
 
I do really enjoy it when I play, I did get into a rather active community rather than a guild but they where to strict and I got kicked out while I was under observation. I am currently discussing with my brother coming over to the dominion side but the only thing is that I loved my medic healer but CBA so level the same class again lol

Ive heard rumours that they are looking into server merging mind, and I know this game is still a baby and needs to grow!
 
I am also finding it very difficult to get the drops for some better healing gear, I know I can mange healing on Storm talon although for our first run we didn't get a medal but we did complete it with only 1 major wipe!

I am running Vet adventures for tempest and the trail I think for gear. But War of the wilds resonator drops are ridiculous. Every class seems to be getting something except my healing spec!!!!!

Good thing most of the problems are fixed.
 
Well got back onto it last night and ran a few vet adventures to try and help get my brother to a standard for tanking vet dungeons. We can complete stormtalon but that was with no medal lol

Glad to be back on it! so much fun
 
Anyone understand the surnames thing yet?

I'd like to know just how these surnames are going to work. Is it going to be a SWTOR stye legacy name that I get to choose once and then every character on my account has the same name? Or is it just a forced rename with a forced space?

The former would be my preference.

Okay, let's clarify something (and I know it's somewhat our fault).

It's not "surnames" it's more like a second name.

If your character is Thornberry, you could change it to

Nigel Thornberry
Lord Thornberry
Thornberry Senpai
Thornberry Darkmagic

Or even change it completely and be "King Reginald".

You can use any combination of two names you wish, as long as conforms to the usual CS rules and is unique.

I've heard that you only need a surname if your name clashes with another persons.
 
I was enjoying this game a lot before but since the megaserver announcement I transferred over to Hazak. It is sooo much better! Everywhere is busy, lots of groups for world bosses, RBG's, etc. Loving it.

As I understand it:

Everyone must rename
New name must have 1 space
Minimum 3 characters either side of the space
30 characters max including the space

I've noticed this too.

Hopefully the changes and gradual improvements will bring back even more players.

Hmm...

Ill give it credit for difference to most other MMOs the combat system especially.
The PVE is well kinda hard and extremely twitchy to start out, which is a nice change.

Whats killing this for me is the utter lack of people on my server.
This has knocked on to the economy etc etc.
And the bugs... good lord STILL.
They really need to speed up fixing some of the ones effecting my game both in pvp/pve and housing... Its across the board.

So far its utterly meh.. A real jump ship MMO as soon as something better turns up.

I've got my entire Stalker combat routine macro'd to 2 buttons.... lol Its not quite Eq2... in that respect.

On character select screen if you look to the top right you should have the option to start a free realm transfer. These are the most popular realms:

PvP - Hazak
PvE - Ascendency

And the bugs... good lord STILL.

Could you elaborate on the bugs your experiencing? I recently went from 1-50 without experiencing any bugs.
