Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

I really do think all those changes are just far too late. Especially since they will introduce a bunch of new problems, no doubt.

Yeah i tend to agree. I cancelled my sub a few days ago and reading that post i'm thinking i might re-sub once the changes start appearing, but the problem is that up until now they seem to take 1-2 months to implement anything so who knows how i'll feel when they eventually get round to it, or if i'll even care.

I haven't been playing for about 3 weeks, but yeah I let my sub run out the other day. I do hope they can fix the problems and get people back playing as I don't think the combat in any other MMO comes close.

I'm now 24 hours+ without access to a game I am paying for. Not happy.

So support got back to me and said that my account had been hacked and my items stolen. They restored access to my account and told me someone would be in touch to return my stolen items.

So I log in to the game and nothing is missing, no items, no gold, everything exactly the same.

Half an hour later and they send me mail with loads of items that aren't mine!

Total shambles haha, I have 2 Step authentication on so I don't think I was hacked in the first place, no idea why they banned my account and sent me someone elses items!

I've only read this last page, I was thinking of giving this a go at only £21, but having read pretty much only negative comments here, maybe I'll give it a miss...

It's a real shame the opinion on this game seems to have tanked so hard, I'm still having a great time playing in both PvE and PvP.

Just wish there were more people playing! Tempted to transfer to Hazak for a higher pop server.

I don't understand why it's not more popular tbh, the combat is better than any other MMO I've played and thats the basis of a good MMO imo.

Maybe when they tidy up a few problems and have some time to add more content to the game the numbers will increase, just hope they can do it with declining income from subs.

It's a great game and yes the combat is a strong point but I really wish it was F2P with the option to be a 'founder' giving you enhanced benefits.

Subscription based games used to rule the roost but it's becoming a dated concept and there are plenty of alternatives that offer great games with no detriment to the experience.

Ugh, the anti sub bull. Never holds out against proper discussion.

Well I un-Subbed since I wasn't playing it as much as I wanted, went to try one of the other MMO's and instantly put my Sub back into Wildstar.

The difficulty and combat is so much better...I just hope they can make it through the Sub Decrease and become a really good contender in the MMO groups

Had me worried there marty! Let's keep this game alive!

The servers could do with merging I think, but with the servers/languages set up the way they are I don't see how they can manage it.

With two english speaking PvP servers, if they merge them together (one medium pop and one low pop) you get one server pushing on high population.

Which might be fine, possible queues at busy times, but what happens if the game's popularity picks up and more players flood in? Opening a fresh PvP server at that point would leave one high pop and one completely empty with just the overflow of players going to the new server, leaving them in a ghost town much worse than the low pop servers now, I would expect.

And these would be new players just starting out, they won't keep their sub going after free month if their brand new server is completely dead.

Was tempted to try this, but having read some of the negative comments here, and the negative comments on other review sites, i might just hold onto my money.

I think i will probably save it for Archage.

Well I realised how better the game is. Yes it has its problems but its still very early on, I have just got to get the last silver run for the malgrave adventure and I will be starting to do the Dungeons!

I would suggest finding a guild and making some friends which will help with the runs instead of having the PUGS.

If I would off some advice is to try it out...get to level 20 if you can that is when it gets better and then go back to the usual mmos and you will find yourself just stood there hitting a few keys and having your concentration else where.

This game you need your full attention and is easily messed up since on some gold runs you cannot have 1 member die in your group

So tried healing Stromtalon the other day on Vet...Managed to complete it but didnt recieve a medal for it. Which I dont mind I was there for the learning side of things and loot drops where just an added bonus.

So now I know I can complete it just need to fine tune my medic and finish malgrave on silver ready for the next step.

I tried Archage the other night and couldn't get to grips with it...also went back to wow and that was so easy and dumbed down. I really hope this game survives and its just made me want to put more time and effort into this game!

Archeage is a decent game but it's not the savior I think most were expecting.

It has some interesting aspects but the problem I have, and it's a big one, is the combat which is really generic and just isn't as fun as Wildstar.

Having said that, I'm letting my sub run out as I've found true happiness and it's called Blade & Soul :p the combat is truly stunning.
