I think it will, its one of the harder MMO's out there and doesnt Final Fantasy online do quite well not that its free to play?
Looks like an interesting model: http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/n...oing-free-to-play-heres-all-you-need-to-know/
Not sure it will compensate for the influx of F2P twerps.
Not for me, couldn't get back into it after the launch month.
I'm all for 'hardcore' raiding at max level but the steps they put infront just sempt to stop 95% of the player base doing it.
The attunement process was one of the most enjoyable things I have done in a MMO for a looong time; so many people all working to one goal and supporting each other to get there.
But, I have to agree that it was a stupid decision. When the guild I was in started losing players to the number 1 ranked guild (we were number 2...) it then dawned on us how difficult it was to find attuned players and how long it would take us to be able to get back to raiding, and this was only for genetic archives which was 20 man. Datascape was 40, but I hear they changed that to 20 soon after I quit, going back on their promises of old school feel raids and such.
I remember when it was the WOW killerReminds me when people thought this would kill guild wars 2, and instead that's still going strong while this ends up folding.
