Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Haven't played a good MMO since the WOW days and i stopped that years ago..this looks by far the most promising and a big draw to that is that the art style is similiar too which i love. I hate the realistic elder scrolls type graphics to be honest in these types of games.
I wish you could just pay for a key lol im sure loads would :D

Yeah it would be crazy lol.

No less crazy than paying for early access alpha builds of games though i guess.

Only because these game Dev's, know the world is full of idiots dying to be parted with their money.

Early access I can see and agree with the rest, no.

I thought I had signed up and been waiting for along time like everyone else, thought I would login to check my account was still there and turns out I hadn't made one Grrr! So only just signed up so think my chances of receiving one are beyond slim but none the less good luck to us all lol

Have to agree with the above a lot of people slate wow for its looks but I really like the way it runs and the bright/almost cartoony style and Wildstar looks like much more polished version least to me but hard to say without actually playing it :) Fingers Crossed!

Yeah thats a big plus for me.. When i played the ESO stress test the art and graphics just didnt do anything for me. I prefere the wow style with that fantasy/cartoony look. it just makes the world look more vibrant and interesting to me.
The animations look really good to. From the combat iv seen it looked very fast and fluid and the running and jumping animations have to be good as you spend so much time seeing them.

I managed to get hold of a key for the beta a couple of days ago and have been really enjoying the game so far. Love the art style, humour and the animations are top class. Combat is really smooth but responsive. The world feels rich, with plenty to explore and loads of attention to detail. For the most part you get told where to go and what to do but you still have to pay attention and do a bit of reading to figure out some objectives, which i like. It doesn't really feel like any mmo I've ever played(and I've played them all). The game has been quite challenging in places, which i also like. Too many mmos are far too easy these days.

I cant really think of any negatives other than i wish it would come out now so i can play it properly :)

Yup Spengos, certainly like no other mmo I have played, this game is nothing like wow at all, but the wow kiddies just like with every single mmo will say wow clone or something like that.

Really enjoying playing it, one thing, and I said this in a thread on the beta forums it's being years, since I felt the pull to play a mmo, yes I have played all the big, and most of the small ones released over the last 5 years or, and this is the first one going even further back than that, where I find myself wanting to log in when not playing.

I have the same sort of view as you Nemeses in the sense that I have play all the big main MMO's and a few of the smaller unknown ones and I am yet to find one that really makes me want to log back in like my first few months on my first MMO which indeed was WoW.

Really do hope to get a key soon if at all to see if this Wildstar relights the fire to play a decent MMO :)

Best I've played is Ultima Online. Not enjoyed an mmo as much as that. Wish I played Warhammer age of reckoning. More pvp-centric than wow. Still, played that for five years.

age of reckoning was awesome until everyone discovered endgame pvp was so unbalanced it was a big joke.
taking control of areas took forever and needed a stupidly high number of tickets so you could have 500 people sitting around like tards for many hours on end
