Will a HDD spin down if I install some apps to it?

I want to get a 64gb SSD but obviously that will mean I have to install some apps and games I use less frequently to the HDD. Will the HDD still spin down even if there are apps that are in the windows registry on there?

If you mean will it go into power saving mode, it depends what you've got it set to. I think the default in Win7 is 20 mins before it spins down and goes into sleep mode, but obviously you can change this, just go into control panel and look under power options.
