Will this work?

I will soon be building my new pc which will have a new 500gb SATA HD. My current PC has a 250gb SATA which has data on it which i need to transfer to the 500gb. Will i be ok plugging the 250gb which has xp on it into my new pc running vista off the 500gb? If that makes sense!

Should have no probs doing that, just make sure that the boot doesn't change when you plug the 250gb drive in. You might also need to take ownership of the files and folders before you can see and copy the contents over.
