will 'write back cache' help me?

I bought a 2nd ed velociraptor recently instead of a ssd so I could raid them and use them as a boot and primary drive

Thhe main reason for this over an ssd is cause I write large portions of data frequently 20gb +

So will write back benefit write times?

Write caching only makes a significant difference if the data in question will fit within the cache.

The cache memory on any drive is so small that it'll make no noticable difference when writing 20GB+ of data.

oh, that looks like a no it wont help then.. they are massive files. was worth a look, everything else seems reasonably snappy, shame ssds dont really work with this level of data writing
