Will you be ditching your 980 TI\TX for Pascal?

Already seen a few urine taking offers for a ti to say the least.

The offers are what they are, what those people are willing to pay.Sell to one, or hold out for a higher offer, or keep it.

I'd just stick it on eBay (if it's not there already) and let the market determine the price to get rid. It's a decent indicator of supply/demand.

Won't be flogging mine until later in the year if at all this year :)

Yeah taking the **** and they should be banned. IMO...

The new cards are not even out so in essence people would be offering 60 for a 780ti which is taking the ****

Or say 90 for a 970

It's derisory

I disagree, it's what those people want to pay at this moment. Rather than name calling the seller should just keep quiet and list it elsewhere.
Funny thing is, deciding to sell today might even be the worst time - it's like panic selling on the stock market. I wouldn't be surprised if second hand prices rise a bit(from the current low offers) after the dust settles in a few days.

From readying posts today the new 1080 is fast ! More than 2 X 980s put together & will cost £500 so obviously everyone who owns one will be selling there 980ti Asap , I Feel a little cheated as I paid £600 for 980ti & come may it's going to be worth £400 Max With 4K screens taken off & VR on the way everyone is going to want the best.

I agree with this at least wait for some reviews

read the slides, it's more like 20% faster than 980Ti, it's nowhere near 2x980 performance, the stream was super confusing for a lot of ppl, if you overclock your 980ti you can easily beat the stock 1080.

Its really not that much faster than a 980ti, an OC 1080 will be about 20% faster than an OC 980ti, maybe not even 20%.

Compared to a 970 or 980 though the 1070 and 1080 are a good upgrade.

what they want to pay is not what a 980ti is worth...

It's the fastest card out bar the Titan currently so it's taking the mick...you don't suddenly invent pricing...based on a pre release of next gen cards...

They are opportunists to make a few quid on eBay...been watching a couple and they are selling at 400 on eBay...one just went for 465

So you my friend are talking BS

They should be banned.

But it's not just the performance guys it's the new tech, new features etc.
There are of course a few unknowns but if a 1070 at £379 turns out to be faster than a Ti in 3 weeks time or even the same, on a performance basis alone that would make buying a second hand Ti today at £380 expensive for old tech, and a used product with the associated risks of buying second hand.

Easyrider, something is worth what someone is willing to pay :). As I mentioned above, eBay is a better option right now - let the market of a lot of people decide the value. But personally I'd hold onto a Ti /Tx for a few weeks. If there are 1000 people looking for a used Ti right now on eBay, if say £250 is their limit then that's what it's worth at that moment in time. The MM is offering £200-210.

I've tried the MM in the past and not found it good for selling GC's but better for other components.I've had low offers in the past for items and can't blame people for trying to be honest.

Banning someone for making a lower offer in a market is the dark ages, goes against freedom of speech :P

I think people are getting well over excited, they've said it's quicker and every-one sex wee'd. They said the 980 was quicker than a 780ti, yeah hardly by much. Waiting for reviews, any-one selling current gen are mad at this point.

Be sticking with my Ti, still not really being taxed at 1440/144 with gsync tbh.

I'll wait and see what big pascal looks like and what AMD have to offer, looks like those that need an upgrade are in for a treat with the 1070 though :)

No it doesn't it's the MM rules...derisory offers are not allowed...

I don't see how lower offers are derisory when we know in a few weeks faster cheaper cards are coming. It's a bit dodgy to try and palm off the older tech at a high price. should have tried to palm it off before the reveal.

Keeping my 980ti, have no reason to sell it until I see what the 1080Ti has to offer, the 1080 is nothing special and the benchmarks and reviews will show this. The Nvidia hype train is in full swing and the vultures are out too it seems to try grab a bargain with all their scaremongering.

DarrenM343 is a good example of this he even tried to sabotage my for sale thread for the 780ti .. It's really childish or worse just very cruel behavior from such people.

The MM is becoming a waste of time with such people allowed on it that don't really buy but go round sabotaging others for sale threads in the hope they may get the person to sell up cheap.

I for one will not be using the MM again if this behaviour carries on. Items have a real value and not made up ones by such people.

The Pascal thread is a bad joke by such people that even after being shown the new pascal card with all the lies thrown in from Nvidia, from twice as fast as a 980 then to twice as fast as a titan x and 3 times more efficient.. Nvidia should be ashamed of it self after the pascal presentation yesterday, their CEO blatantly lied on many occasions threw that presentation. There is nothing to see apart from the usual speed bump that we always have had from generation to generation.
