considering I sold my 980 Ti classified only a few weeks ago for £500 in which I paid £580 for it BUT got 4 games free, dying light, metal gear solid v, the witcher 3 and batman arkham origins I've practically broke even so if the 1080 comes out at less than £500 I've got an upgrade for free (y) play the market right and you wont lose![]()
I'll wait for the 1080ti version. Current 980ti will do me fine till then.
Me too. The 780 Ti and 980 Ti were released over half a year after the lower tier cards, and the 1080 Ti will probably be no different. The 980 Ti will still last a while.
How much are they listed for?
Already seen a few urine taking offers for a ti to say the least.
I disagree, it's what those people want to pay at this moment. Rather than name calling the seller should just keep quiet and list it elsewhere.
Funny thing is, deciding to sell today might even be the worst time - it's like panic selling on the stock market. I wouldn't be surprised if second hand prices rise a bit(from the current low offers) after the dust settles in a few days.
Banning someone for making a lower offer in a market is the dark ages, goes against freedom of speech![]()
I don't see how lower offers are derisory when we know in a few weeks faster cheaper cards are coming. It's a bit dodgy to try and palm off the older tech at a high price. should have tried to palm it off before the reveal.
most of the performance boasts were related to VR? It was 2am+ so I could very well have misunderstood it, but thats what I took from it.
Selling a Ti or TX before benchmarks is madness, a company hypes its products, then we get to see them in the real world and they are never as good as promised (watch dogs, ps4/3/2 etc etc)
Haha, the GTX 980Ti is soon to become old tech, I say old tech as Easyrider has used those words in the past.
GTX 1070 is going to be around £270 + supply and demand tax, so call it £350, I wouldn't want to pay more than £200 for a 980Ti. I'll be selling my GTX 980 off for a lot less!
Faster than a Titan X! Then add on overclocking... sorry to say the 980 series is now obselete old tech! The prices are going to drop like a bad habit!
The 1070, didn't you watch the Nvidia live stream?
Don't forget 980ti drivers will crumble now.
As already said something is only worth what people are willing to pay, I'd like a 980ti to replace my 580's but £200 is what I'd pay, the seller doesn't have to take my money but very soon he'll find himself waiting a long time for a buyer at the higher price.
I've waited and waited knowing this would come - and resisted £200 970's knowing the 980 would soon be in this ballpark once Pascal arrived - the high prices are for those who want cutting edge , those who are willing to wait reap the bargains.
Considering you will likely be able to get new ones for around £300 once retailers get rid of all the old stock, i would hardly say it is deluded.

1070! Faster than a Titan-X... faster than a Titan-X!! lol
