It'll be one of these new things to modernise the monarchy. Some will love it and some will hate it just like the royals :p

I don't believe someone should be placed above all others just because of the cot they are born in. It made sense in the past when we didn't have a democratic government and the king/queen acted as the executive but today it doesn't. I've not got anything against them personally, well Andrew had very questionable friends and I suspect he liked them young but I'm indifferent to Charles as a person. However its 2023 and we have someone who is waited on hand and foot and even has someone to squeeze his toothpaste on his toothbrush ffs. He isn't anointed by a sky fairy, he is just related to someone who's soldiers kicked arse hundreds of years ago.

Right and as Stephen Fry was saying last night, he's in favour of it because the alternative is another political as head of state, elected through a popularity contest.

You have seen with your own eyes, what we get for politicians. It would be another of those backstabbing ladder climbers but they'd get to be head of state instead of PM or maybe hop between both.

There's at least accountability involved, instead we have an entire state covering up a family's impropriety (lets not fool ourselves pretending otherwise) incase it embarrasses the country.

It will end badly because this age we're in is Darwinist af.

Charles (and to a degree William) I think is very much a product of the environment he was brought up in - a true believer lacking a certain amount of self-awareness so to speak - which is partly IMO behind the issues with Harry who isn't. Same with many religious households.

Yeah because every republic out there really struggles with their national identity and patriotism.

You don't have to have a political president. They can just act as a head of state with zero political power. Have we really not got people in this country that the public respect enough for them to serve as the head of state for say 5 years, 10 tops? If the answer is no then what a sad indictment of this country that is.

Charles lacks self-awareness where ? his environmental concerns put him head and shoulders above a majority (the Crown probably glossed over that) - even if he can afford to eat organically hand reared beef -
Harry on the other hand seems to be lacking self-awareness a robot/malleable and controlled(liberated ?) by Meghan

The concert is beyond tacky for what is supposed to be an occasion of traditional splendour, won't be long until they add a drag show to the act.
