Will you buy a RX 5700 Or RX 5700 XT?

Indeed, how dare AMD only aim for delivering a faster card at the same price as Nvidia, but not a faster card AND at lower price than the direct competition...they should be ashamed of themselves :p

Well done to AMD for releasing last years performance at the same price. They are absolute heroes. Groundbreaking move.

I do that too and have been looking at various GPU options for some time. I waited until I had a pretty good idea of performance and cost of all cards before buying what was a good deal... then AMD unexpectedly drop the price on Navi :D

I guess no harm done; I'll wait for the official release tomorrow and then decide which direction to move. I still feel the VII is a stunning long term card.

Yes the R7 is a good card, ideal to water cool. I'm looking at the 5700XT as a stop gap until Navi 20 but at 1440p it should still be pretty good.

That glory gone to Nvidia not AMD, with the 2080 launched at higher price than the 1080ti, and the 2070 launched at higher price than the 1080. The 5700XT is (likely) faster than Vega64, 1080 and possibly 2070 AND lower price than last year and the 2070, even if it may not be much.

The 2080Ti (a non Titan card) launching at £1200~£1300, THAT (the price) was groundbreaking (its extra 30~35% performance over the 1080ti not so much) :p

Another feather in nvidia cap is the coolers, instead of Navi being a straight buy tomorrow, it's look at performance, then wait until aftermarket, decent cooled cards come out :S

Didn't AMD say they preferred blower coolers because low- and mid-range buyers were less likely to have good airflow.

And then they priced it at $400, alienating the low- and mid-range buyers, lol.

Some high spec PC's are in tiny cases where the blower is a good option. I think what they actually said is the blower cooler covers every scenario as a lot of users have no idea about cooling so the blower can guarantee clock speeds in every scenario v a 2 to 3 fan design.

Yes they did lol, blowers are cheaper to produce, so higher margin for them. Blowers have a place sure, xfire or a tiny case, but if nvidia can do reference dual fan and trust that their customers can cool their PC, I'm sure AMD could to. :)

At least they should do twins and blowers a the same time.

edit: another point is they know the market, they talk about most gamers spending $200-250 dollars on a cpu - 3600, so they know what people spend, but then we know Navi should have been called the 690/680, and at nearly x2 price, that's a O_O
