A lot of money has been placed on novax over night. Odds have shortened to 1.18!
Was on Centre for the mens' semis on Friday and, whilst I know it sounds really snobbish, I have to say the 'quality' of spectators overall felt far lower than when I was there a couple of years ago. They have commented about a 'different' crowd this year due to the direct ticket sales and I'd have to agree.
The moron trying to get the crowd to sing "it's coming home" during the post-match interview was a few rows in front of us and people around us were audibly tutting. He looked like your typical 'football oik' too.

I'm not quite sure it is, if Berretini gets his head in the game he's got the game to take a set off Novak. Really tall order for him to win the match though.
It's been incredible watching both the semis, yesterday's final, and the start of this to see how much the mental side of reaching this stage of a slam is affecting players.
Edit: he needs to stop trying to play little drops and trick shots though. He needs to put his racket through a few balls and hit a couple of winners. That backhand slice he hit long from the net was totally unnecessary

And if you'd read the rest of the paragraph you'd have seen that I said I didn't expect Berrettini to win the match but that he has the game to take a set. As the last couple of games in this set have shown.
And this is not a fluke. Berrettini hits a huge forehand and has an exceptional serve when it's firing. He is one of few players who can keep points short enough against Novak to negate his incredible counterpunching. It's similar to Del Potro, who has a losing record against Novak but gave him some really tough matches
