Wimbledon 2021

Great full day of Tennis today including Federer, Djokovic, Coco Gauff v Kerber and Emma Raducanu. Can't wait for the Gauff match and the Raducanu match. Raducanu, star or flash in the pan? We'll find out this afternoon. Lovely girl, bubbly personality, hope she does well.

From what im hearing there is a lot of hope that she will be a star.

Right now she's definitely a star in the UK since her win a few days ago and this being her debut at Wimbledon. Hope she maintains form. The good thing about her is she's having fun which takes the pressure off and gives her a good shot at going further.

When you consider a lot of tennis players give up full time education to concentrate on tennis at an early age and she's done the opposite, it's not hard to believe she could've been even better at this stage of her career.

She's certainly made a name for herself in a very short space of time thanks to her aggressive style of tennis and attitude on and off court.

Odds for Raducanu, Norris and England winning on Sunday? :D

As long as Raducanu can at least float around the top 10 for a few years she will make a fortune. Very pretty, young and likeable and most of all, marketable.

Would be nice to have a top class GB womens tennis player.

The men's edition really doesn't look like it'll hold any surprises with regards to the winner, Djokovic is looking like he will breeze to this title. Federer hasn't played enough and is an old man in tennis terms now, Rafa is AWOL and weakest on grass, and the young guys just don't seem consistent on the surface.

Fully agree with this. It's a foregone conclusion.

It’s a bit of a bummer really. Tennis is a young mans game, but it shows that the standard now is generally pretty poor if the runaway winner is 34 years old and a nigh on 40 year old who hasn’t played much breezes through to last 16, probably the quarters at least.

True this. But I suppose it's fair to say that even in middle age, Fed and Djok are still superhuman players and the game doesn't seem to have any fresh young genius prodigies like them. Just good but not good enough players.

Looks a bit tight at the moment, pressure on her shoulders must be immense. From school girl to the most talked about teenager in the country in less than a week.

Like Martina said - she's overhitting, trying to absolutely welly it when she doesn't need to. Quite a few shots have gone just a bit long because her timing isn't quite there yet.

4-4 and she really hasn't played nearly as well as the previous 3 rounds. If she starts returning as well as she can, she'll cause her massive problems just like that shot
