Wimbledon

Now to those who are all saying Andy needs to play x amount better than this...if he comes away with these stats on Sunday he'll win the thing...

Murray vs Janowicz
Match time: 2 hrs 52 mins
Andy Murray stats

Aces: 20
Double faults: 1
1st serve %: 70%
1st serve win %: 76%
2nd serve win %: 71%
Winners 49
Errors: 15
Break points: 5/13

Only thing I'd like to see is taking more break points and he will have more opportunity to hit more winners against Novak also.

Andy's 2nd Serve win % was key tonight Janowicz couldn't take advantage.

Problem is what Murray will turn up on Sunday. There's a killer Murray and a slow to get into the game Murray.

Exactly.

It's like we were saying earlier: on his day he can be unstoppable but he's (usually) his own worst enemy.

He makes things hard for himself by playing too defensively or making stupid mistakes and then decides to turn it on.

If he plays the whole final like he played the third and fourth set tonight it will be a decent match. If he plays like the first two sets today or most of his Wimbledon 2013 performances it will be a Djokovic walkover.

I'm not so sure. Djokovic has not been 100% smooth in his last two matches. Plus, his semi with Del Potro today was extremely long and very physical (the temperature on court will add to the exhaustion too) so that will impact a little I reckon considering there is only a day to recover.

We definitely won't see that...I'm expecting an epic clash between these two.

Really hope so. :)

i don't think this will affect him at all. compared to the temperatures they get at the australian open, this is positively freezing. it wouldn't affect murray either. they are the 2 fittest guys on tour and it's why andy lives in florida for his off season training.

djokovic has won the australian open 3 years in a row and last year it took him 4h50 to beat murray in the semi. he then came back and took nearly 6 hours to beat nadal in the longest grand slam final ever. he is an absolute monster. :p

Think Djokovic will win in 4 sets but I do think Andy deserves another win after all of those finals he's lost in during the past few years. Djokovic just gets to balls no other man gets to. Then again Andy is probably his closest rival in terms of speed and mobility so it might be close in that regard.

Murray will lose the final, mark my words. :D Not that I want him to lose, but I'm afraid Djok will be too much for him.

Its not that Djok is the better player or more physically fitter, they're both equally matched in that regard, but Djok is the stronger mentally. Murray just falls apart, mentally. His very own personal demons get the better of him much too often. You can get away with it in a quarter final, pull yourself together and turn it around, but you just can't do that in a final. Any chink or crack in that armour and Djok will be in there with a filletting knife.

See the US Open from 2012...a lesser Murray would have crumbled there...

Also they've only played each other once on grass...Murray leads 1-0 ;)

here's hoping for a competitive women's final later. COME ON LISICKI. :p

(i won't even mind if bartoli wins by player better tennis. i just don't want to see either of them fudge up their opportunity without making their opponent earn it.)
