Wimbledon

So Djokovic, Murray and Del Potro are the only players in the last 8 having not dropped a set so far (mens draw).

Murray not convincing? Hasn't dropped a set yet! I'd agree on Ferrer but realistically he was never a top 4 seed for this tournament. Admittedly Djokovic is looking very good.

He hasn't dropped a set granted but what I saw today really didn't convince me that he has a chance against Djokovic. Then again after watching that third set I'm not so sure now :p.

Thought Youzhny played great tennis until 3rd set when he seems to have run out of steam...he threw everything at Murray for first 2 sets...cant fault his commitment. He was playing pretty high intensity risk game imo.

Murray in general and last few matches looks good for a real square go at Novak....although i thought he was too defensive against Youzhny....his defensive play actually reminded me of bad old passive "wait for the opponent to make a mistake" Murray.

One thing that i reckon is a real weakness to Murray's game is he REACTS too much...he is a great counterpuncher yes...but he is always reacting to shots so he ends up being run all over the court trying to make impossible shots...or insane lob attempts....imo its a weakness how he lets himself get put into that position (ie too passive!)...he needs to go aggressive more often and take the initiative more. He did it much better in the 3rd set.

Generally though its only minor criticism because his serving was generally excellent today...and he was always putting Youzhny serve under massive pressure all the time.

Errani & Vinci out another shock.

Only British interest is Konta & Inglot in mixed apart from the Boys & Girls events.

Highlight of which will be young Kyle Edmund who had a great (but losing) mixed doubles last night with Eugenie Bouchard. (Maybe the next Posh & Becks)

typical women's match. completely dominating and then that happens. :p

...and kanepi hands the break straight back.

Lisicki would be a worthy finalist... hope this other quarter final drags on as long as it has already (still in a tie breaker from what I can see, while she's on course for 6-3, 6-3) to make her a bit fresher for it.

So happy to see Sabine on her way back to the top.

Looked like Germany were gonna take over the world of womens tennis 2 or 3 years ago then Lisicki, Petkovic and Goerges all got injured which left the emotional wreck called Kerber leading the way.

Looks like they are all coming back to some kind of form with Lisicki leading the way.
