Win 7 SP1 gets dated?

i just uninstalled it, using the programs and features bit, looks like it has been wiped off.

why would microsoft put something on their website if it wasn't good?

it just boggles the mind. they are supposed to be restoring their reputation.
A little unfair? It does state clearly on the download page it is a release candidate and has been made available for IT pros to test etc. Just about all software companies provide beta/RC code. I guess this is also one of the downsides of search engines in that they take you straight to a page that might be read out of context.

I can only see updated DVD ISOs of W7 and W2K8 R2 or a multi-lang version which is a jar dropping 1.953Gb in size

Could someone with MSDN access please post the SHA-1 of the 64 bit wave 0 installer? Should be around 638MB in size.

I think somebody will have to download the 1.9GB ISO first as that is the media that contains both 32 & 64 bit installers.

as the .exes are digitally signed by microsoft you don't need to bother checking the hashes.

it's only on the ISOs where you should be wary - but it's already been confirmed the ultimate retail ISO hashes from MSDN match the leaks. i have no reason to suspect any of the other releases aren't legit.

Well guys, here is information on the leaked Windows 7 ULTIMATE RTM With SP1 X64 DVD Image file that was leaked onto the internet on january that I have

it was the top hit in google, they should at least make it harder to download, or have a warning in a pop up or put it in a secure place on their site, so you have to have an account or something to download it.
