Win8 Tablets

I'd still take my W500, even with the 1280 resolution.

I'll keep it till the next wave of Windows 8 tablets, I can't help but feel very let down so far.

Half tempted to just throw a 128 GB MSATA in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's fake, the stationary device if anything would be a console, but a 2 x 6 core IBM with 250GB 10K HDD? I have my doubts :p

im waiting for the surface pro, hopefully its out soon because my DSA said they would allow me one if it was out before the end of December!

I have my doubts on the whole project.
The whole point of win7 is cross comparability.
So why have an "Xbox" tablet.

and one that is more powerful than the surface.
None of it makes any sense.

Still think a mobile phone, is much more likely.

The tablet and that stationary device would be two different things.
The stationary device spec could be a console, but the spec itself looks BS.

What are the best out? I want something that will rival the Surface Pro.

Nothing's out I don't think, other than the Sony that I mentioned. Any i3/i5/i7 chip one will rival the Surface Pro on performance. None can hold a candle to the Surface Pro's look, screen resolution (I believe) or 10" screen size. But the Acer W700 looks iPhone-4-esque, and is cheapest of the intel i's, but nobody knows the price of the Pro. It could be cheaper or the same price as the Acer, which would make a big difference.

Those wanting to try any of the acer range.
Acer are doing a roadshow on the run up to christmas and setting up stalls in "friendly retailers" to show off their range of win8 devices. No idea of dates, city's or shops though.

All 11 off acer devices will be avilable to buy in November.
And there entire range now has firm prices.

The Iconia W510 and W700 tablets prices start from £499 and £599.

I assume that's with the keyboard and dock? As some competitors have it for ~£450 on it's own (although weirdly there saying it has 1GB of RAM, I thought CloverTrail had 2GB?)
