Windows 10 and Nvidia drivers??

I've had plenty of blue screens due to drivers (graphics and otherwise)over the years alas but not (yet!) with Windows 10.

I've never had a BSOD due to a GPU driver problem on windows 8 or 10. Both OS's are very good at recovering when a display problem happens. (i suppose it is possible though). The thing is the specific error in this BSOD is not likely to be anything to do with the GPU or driver.

Whea_uncorrectalbe_error is a hardware error that is generated by the CPU when it detects a problem with its operation. It is usually caused by a lack of voltage (either because its set to low in the bios or the power supply isn't supplying it properly).

Harlequin, how old is your 2600k and has it been overclocked since you have had it? It might need a bit more voltage then stock due to degradation, even at stock clocks. That is what the error points too.

Fine here as well with my 2x 980 Ti's on Windows 10 and using 355.60. SLI performance is great, no out of memory issues or games crashing to the desktop because of the GPU drivers, no BSOD's or black screens either. The last 3 drivers have been fine as well.

I can easily put 5+ hours in to GTA all settings maxed out (FXAA, grass very high) running at 3325x1871 at a silky smooth 60fps 95% of the time. Don't have reliability issues at 4K either but performance dips below 60fps to often in grassy areas and running at slightly below 4K it looks identical on my screen without the performance dipping (32" 1080P).

Both GPU's regularly get to around 90%+ usage on both in GTA 5.

I have a GTX 970, it runs 1354Mhz out of the box but i have to down-clock it to 1300Mhz or it Black/Grey/White Screens after prolonged gameplay, this is on 353.62 which i'm still running as it gets worse on 355.60.

Not impressed with Nvidia's Windows 10 Drivers so far.

Either uninstall drivers and ddu or try to reinstall windows 10 because most of us aren't having Issues like you. Could even be a gpu issue?

GTA5 is a stuttery mess during combat, even though it's running around 100fps, seems it's a game issue though? Witcher is smooth, so is Metro LL. Loads of SLI users up in arms on the geforce forums.

Have you tried alt-tabbing to switch 'out of' the game and then returning to it? I get stuttering on that game on Windows 10 until I do that, for some reason.

I'm getting same problems with GTA5, plays fine for couple min then lags like mad and doesn't go away. I have cleaned and did fresh install on latest nvidia drivers but doesn't solve problem.
I also get a PCH DXE error with windows 10 that I haven't found a fix for along with other driver problems. Reverting back to 8.1 solved both the lag with GTA5 and the other driver clashes along with the PCH DXE error. A few of my mate have also had driver errors with 10, all in all 10 haven't been great for me.

Current Nvidia driver - 355.60

Was wins 10 a clean install or upgrade? I've read a lot having issue's with upgrade.

Done both same problem did clean install of 10 yesterday however and it did solve a general lag of the os when opening files ect...

Would like to ad as well that the PCH DXE error only showed when I started installing drivers, the error didn't show when the clean install of 10 went on and there wasn't any drivers or updates installed.
I'm tempted to just reformat everything and disconnect/reconnect hardware then do fresh install of OS then work my way though the installation of drivers to see if that sorts everything out but that's just a ball ache.

Ok I'm talking crap it seems, an I haven't done a clean install of the OS only a clean install of 8.1 then upgraded to 10. Will try and do a proper clean install of 10 in the next couple days when I have time and see if that's works

I spec'd a 970 for a buddy of mine who runs a similar setup to you and suffers none of your problems, I suggest you look elsewhere as it's not a driver problem your having.

Read the whole conversation, Geeman.

Edit, you know i am looking elsewhere, WTF?

SLI is still not working correctly - memleak is what you are seeing.
