There's a workaround to stop Win7 creating the recovery partition. But it is only 100mb at the end of the day, and it does save you looking for install DVDs if you need to do any recovery tasks at any point.

It's a handly little feature when you do need it.

If you're going to be pushing your SSD up to the last 100mb, I'd be considering a bigger one.

Really, you still aren't losing a HUGE amount of space. Sure, 100MB sounds more on an 80GB hard drive than a 1TB one. But still. It's not that much of an annoyance.

You could save ~60mb by removing MSN messenger alone, 100mb is nothing and i really dont see why people are adamant on removing it.

Only peeps I can imagine this is important to is those with netbooks and small SSDs, like the first gen Eee's where every mb counts.
