I recently got one of those new dell 17" Touch Screen Laptops with WIndows 7 x64 pro

I also got an Icy box eSata/USB Hardrive Dock, I formatted a 500GB 3.5" drive and used it as a backup for my system.

Tonight I have tried plugging it via USB & eSata and Explorer wont see it, it showed up in device manager.

The funny thing is if I plug it into my macbook it see's it and I can access the files:confused:

So this aint a hardware error this is the so called awesome windows 7:mad:

Please help

when you formatted it on your mac did you format it as FAT32 or HFS as if it was the latter windows cannot read it as standard. You could use a bit of software called macdrive, i have used it on multiple occasions and found it to be very capable.

Did you go into Disk Management to check if it was visible there? Maybe you needed to assign it a drive letter? Sometimes when I plug my external HDD in (and it's never been near a Mac) Windows doesn't always assign it a drive letter.
