Windows 7 Internet Browser.

Hey,

After installing Windows 7 this morning, and having a little play (installing iTunes and sorting my files out) I'm wondering which net browser people are using?

I was using Safari, and haven't seen an update for Win 7.
Internet Explorer 8 any good ? I've been using it for a while and it feels alright.

FireFox?
Chrome?

What are you guys running and why ?

Oh god safari on windows is awful.

Use firefox or IE8 but I prefer firefox.

Soon the Opera crowd will be here but personally I find it awkward.
I don't like chrome because of the privacy concerns but there is SRWware iron which is the same without the privacy issues.

So...

1. Firefox
2. Iron
3. IE8
4. Opera
5. Chrome
6. Safari

in order of personal preference.

I like firefox beacuse it doesnt crash on me and I like the addons.

Add block plus is awesome.

Firefox - Used to use Opera until it seemed to get slower

IE8 - well every time ive used it so far tabs have crashed on me.

Had no problems with either IE8 or Firefox but I use FF for everyday browsing.

I use IE8.
Firefox is only used whn a particular website is buggy and crashes with IE.

Did anyone get a browser selection dialog after installing windows 7? I didn't see any dialog on my end and IE has been set to the default browser.

CUrrently on my RC build IE8.

As for why - it works fine. Not had any issues what so ever.

Firefox 3.5 here... ran a few tests between it and Chrome (cos I really love the Chrome UI) and Firefox trumps it for speed (just about). Either world be my reccomendation to be fair...

continue using safari if you like it. windows 7 isn't so special it needs software made specifically for it. as 7 has already been in the public domain for so long with beta/rc releases and then RTM over 2 months ago, most stuff just works anyway.

Between them MS and the EC haven't finalised how it'll work yet.

Installed FireFox + Add blocker thing

It's quick and responsive, but don't really like the look of it, is there any way to re skin it ? I've not seen anything? but I've also not spent much time looking.

Might download Safari and give that a go, but not sure, I really enjoyed using that.
