I might be missing the point here, but is it possible to get it to display the 'Apps' screen rather than the 'Start' screen (with metro tiles) when you press the windows key?
I kinda see it would be quicker to search for apps, but at times it would just be a lot simpler to hit the windows key and just click to load an app.
I'd love to put Windows 8 on my main PC, as my it's very stable on my brothers PC and my netbook, but Xonar Drivers aren't working properly on Windows 8 and I can't change from Speakers to Headphones etc, had to mess around with my brothers audio, setting up his 2.1 gaming chair and put his X540's on his consoles.
Has anyone found a way of changing the analogue out in Windows 8 on a Xonar?

I can't get the Xonar control panel to work either.

That's the only thing stopping me using Windows 8 on my main PC, as I honestly think it's fine for a main O/S, and it's nice and fast.
Installed in compatibility mode and it works fine for me. I'm on a xonar d2
