Windows 8 who's buying/upgrading

not me. tried the release, with the front end didnt like it all. Prefer Windows 7 if i get a cheap enough legit release i may try it again.

Microsoft are looking for big money, just for a upgrade. Phew Ill stick to win 7.

Or £25 direct for Ms

I'll be upgrading, it is superior no faster than win7 and I like metro.
Why do I want to do things the old way and open up and check my Callander, emails, weather etc. metro makes far more sense that a traditional desktop.

Sticking with windows 7 until at least windows 8 comes with sp1.

You'll be waiting untill you die then(probably). It's almost certain MS has done away with SP as it takes to long to update, they've allready released a substantial update and its not even released yet.

I have win 7 ultimate retail , which would be the upgrade path for me ?

And, do I get a disk for reinstalling - as many times as I like - when I change different bits on my PC ?

Many thanks in advance.

The upgrade is only £24.99 directly through MS, or £14.99 if you bought Win 7 since June 2012.

The £24.99 upgrade works on any XP, Vista, or Windows 7 key. I wasnt interested in Windows 8 at all until I found about this, and just dug out my Vista DVD after much searching :D

I dont mind paying £24.99 to upgrade my copy of Vista to Windows 8, and I will still have Windows 7 too if I want to fall back on it.
