Looks like Facebook finally killed off MSN, none of my friends use it anymore but I will never use Facebook.

Skype has Facebook integration does it not? Or just use Pidgin or something similar. The only people I have in my Pidgin MSN list are actually OcUK people. :/

I've been using MSN since 1999 and Skype is not the same.

Stopped using it ages ago. Normally use googlechat or facebook as they sync with me phone

It's compact and does exactly what it says on the tin. Skype is nothing like as good for text based chat.

I've used ICQ until everybody changed to MSN, and have used MSN for more years than I care to remember.

If you will never use Facebook, then how do you know that MSN/Steam is so much better? Your dislike for a product that you haven't used is bizarre.

As I've said in there, microsoft have too many apps, devices and services relying on the WLM platform for the whole thing to go away.

This will simply be the death of the WLM client as we know it today, just like you had to stop using Windows Messenger 4.7 that shipped with XP and install the MSN Messenger 6 Client.
