Atari said:If you're using ID3Tag-IT, Navigate to a folder containing an album in the Navigation Pane down the left hand side. Then in the main window, highlight all the tracks from said album, press F4, then click on 'Search by Files'. This will query the database for albums which have the same number of files, same length tracks and so on.
It'll return the results, most of the time it'll match the album, but sometimes it'll return more than one album from different artists. Select which album you want from the list, and then press the 'Write Information' button. This will write all the information to the tags.
From there, all you've gotta do is highlight all the tracks again, right click on any of them, go to 'Tag v2 Functions', and click on 'Tag v2 -> Filename'. This will then take the information out of the tag, and rename the filename with it. You can select how you want the filename to be titled too, i.e. Artist,Track Number, Title, etc.
Hope that's not too confusing. I'll take some screenshots if needed, but it's a great little app which will help sort out your MP3's in no time.
