$70 = £43.49 + £8.69 VAT = £52.18 for a HDMI Mini PC stick with quad core Bay Trail CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB flash storage, Wifi, Ethernet, MicroSD and 2 micro USB 2.0 ports that can run either Windows, Android or Linux. :) The higher end G with 2GB RAM and 32GB flash storage probably will cost $99 = £73.81 with VAT.

This will be much easy way to connect to your HDTV as cheap HTPC, media center or watch Blu-ray movies with external USB Blu-ray drive. You can connect USB Hub to it and use 4TB hard drive in USB caddy. :)

If OCUK or ebay ever stock G version then I would buy one in a heartbeat and install Windows 10 on it. :D

That's pretty awesome! Would love one with a small Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to take around my mates house to play some old schoolstuff with them!

Heck, would be great for offices where you just need basic word processing! My old transformer had similar specs and handled all that stuff with ease.

Can't see these coming to the UK in any amount of time however :(

its a little over priced for what you are getting, in all hinesty you can pick up similar spec windows 8 based 8" inch tablet from china for about £20 more with almost exact specs.

Why would you commit yourself to this for?

Ones big and ones small.

i understand but, given that 8 inch tablet is not very large, people have mobile phones almost that size( 6 inch) and consider you get a screen and on screen input system I just cant see enough price differentiation between them, maximum mobility with batter inside. If they were £50-60 great but at almost £80-90 the tablet is much better buy and more flexible. If indeed you are that limited for space then ok fair point but still not sold on this.

I really want one of these type things. If they can run XBMC + steam streaming well they will be awesome and considering my DVP8 runs steam streaming perfectly I assume these will just need to add a usb hub for controller + ethernet I guess. I will be considering one to replace my pi in bedroom and also allow me to move my hp microserver out of front room.

These are available outside of bulk ordering now by the looks of things. I'm mighty tempted to get one as a discrete media PC for the bedroom.

£85 delivered to our respective doors at the moment, with full buyer protection and refund protection if item not as described.... Tempted...

I have contacted the seller, although they are slow and not know very much about this, I can tell you the black one in the first picture is what you are getting.

Also you will get one mini usb and one full USB from the pictures they have sent me.

also its the 2GB they assured me, but I wont be responsible for anyone that is disappointed if they receive 1GB, only passing on what they have told me.

it has HDMI 1.4a and does not supoprt 4k ( after i told them the internal gpu on DIE only support 2k resolution max) only 2k supported.

They fluctuate in price quite randomly I have noticed.

Same here, so very tempted eagerly awaiting reviews but I assume performance will be very very similar to my Dell venue pro. Just want a review to confirm Wifi is up to some streaming.
