Guys - just quickly. My cousin is having to do a reinstall of windows following some catastrophic failure.

Anyway we need to know what thrid party drivers he needs to install when prompted to press F6 prior to actually installing windows. When inserting the floppy disc we made we are prompted to install one of the following:

Nvidia N force storage controller

-or-

Nvidia RAID class driver

The mother board is the ASUS A89-SLi premium and we have a single SATAII drive. My feeling is to go for the Storage controller as RAID is to do with multiple discs right?

There is nothing in the MoBO manual telling us what to do.

Could anyone let me know what we should do.

Cheers in advance

Yes, go with the Nvidia N force storage controller. Although have you tried without installing a driver? Most of the time you will not need a third party driver.

Yea - have read on the internet about just setting it in BIOS instead of installing the driver. Have gone with the storage controller anyway, as long as it does not do any harm that is okay.

Cheers for the reponse.

I have the same board as you, and with the HDD plugged into the black port 1, i didnt need any drivers to install on my raptor
