Windows slow to view internal storage

As the title says, I'm finding Windows 10 to have a bit of a lag, sometimes 2 or 3 seconds, to display the contents of a drive. I'm not talking masses and masses of files or thumbnails, just the basic file list. This is for M2 (Sabrent Rocket), SSD (Crucial M4) and HDD (something 7,200rpm).

Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere or a driver I've not installed?

Check the windows power settings to make sure it's not powering the drive down for power savings reasons - which is sometimes the default option.

Could do with installing the 1usmus Custom Power Plan whilst I'm at it in any case.
