I have just installed Vista SP2 from one of the links, installed on a Vertex X2 RAID 0 in minutes so far no problems, I see no difference, just installed it on my back up PC OMG how slow is the 7200 Maxtor drive 20 minutes and counting.

uninstalled old version and installed this version, everything ok so far

Aero is a matter of opinion, but the start menu search is genuinely really useful and a massive usability improvement over XP. I suggest you take some time to get used to using it before you bash mindlessly.

I have downloaded SP2 but not installed it as yet.

Could someone explain to me how you check the MD5 thingy mijigy to ensure you are downloading the correct one, please.

Get a copy of Hash Tab and just right click properties your iso, make sure the hashes match as above really.
