Many of you will recall that Microsoft is running a Vista Upgrade Programme. Between certain dates, a new copy of Windows XP entitles you to a free upgrade to Vista. I've applied for 2 of these now, one from ModusLink and another directly with Dell. I applied for both in the middle of January. I have heard absolutely nothing since regarding either of the 2 orders. Has anyone here recieved their free upgrade copy?

Thanks,

Michael.

My order status has been COA Validated for a long time now. Does this mean I'm simply waiting for them to bother shipping it to me?

Thanks.

Hey

I am in the same position applied at the start of January the first time I applied I forgot to submit my Proof of purchase because the information in the email they send you is not very good! So make sure you have done that.

I haven't submitted anything. I haven't recieved any information regarding what to do other than an order confirmation. It says COA validated so I assume it doesn't need any proof.

oh you will lol.

It will then sit at coa validated for a few weeks if not more, then progress onto waiting proof of purchase.

Took about 5 emails each with a pdf atachment of my receipt before they even acknowledged that i existed lol. Then another 2 weeks for it to move on to a awaiting shipping date status.

Then i got an email on the 17th of feb saying it had shipped, But still no sign of it yet. :D

I bought an HP laptop just before Christmas with a "free" upgrade to Home Premium.

My order was confirmed on the 7th of January, shipped on 8th of March and arrived today.

I've finally had an email saying my upgrade has been shipped. Hoorah!

Yes. I've got an email stating:

Dear Customer,
>
> Thank you for submitting your order to upgrade your Microsoft® product.
>
> Your validation is now complete and we will be processing your order. You should receive an email confirmation when your order is shipped. You may check the status of your order at the following web address:

Recieved that around the end of Feb. Checking on the links the status hasn't moved from POP/COA validated.

We ordered 10 (2 lots of five at a time) due to machines we'd bought with WInXP Professional OEM on over the time scale.
Once batch of five we've had an e-mail confirming dispatch and to expect them within 2-3 weeks.
The second batch of five (which we submitted on the same day) hasn't been confirmed yet.
