Windscreen replacement & re-calibration.

I'm with AXA and had a £75 for my cracked windscreen replacement + re-calibration of the lane assist camera. As someone mentioned above new screen isn't 100% exactly where the old one was, but lane assist, high beam assist and rain/light assist features all working fine since. Took Autoglass a couple of hours all in at the most.

When I had my polo windscreen replaced in June I got chatting to the installer ( autoglass ).

I asked him about modern cars with all the sensors, cameras on the front and whether they could do that. He said they take any car that requires calibration to their purpose built unit in avonmouth for them to be done their.

He reckoned that if this was required then the persons excess would be more than if it were just a replacement.

They probably have these places dotted around the UK.

Depends on the type of calibration required too.

Some are a static calibration that need doing in the workshop, some are a dynamic calibration that require the car being drive ln with the diagnostics kit connected

Okay, so I finally get this re-calibration sorted on Friday. Nissan have the car from 10am and ring me at 4.30pm to say it's done. I collect the car around 2 hours later and drive straight home and park it up for the night.

I never drove the car yesterday but starting it up today I notice the engine management light is on. First time its ever been on since I've had this vehicle and coincidently it's the day after Nissan have had it all day. Now what?
