Wing Commander Saga : The Darkest Dawn - Fan Modded ( INDIE )

Well this sounds frustrating - is it possible they'll add waypoint saves in the furture or is it a technical limitation?

I've been playing a bit of Freespace 2 (courtesy of GOG.com) & enjoying it. Only played first two hours or so but it's solid (modded)
 
Just downloaded this :)

Seems pretty good, Had no clue what to do (re: controls) until I went thru the intro type mission (didn't seem to be the default)
I was going to get X3 in the steam sale but just wanted a game for space combat, this seems pretty cool, vaguely remember wing commander 4

Might even give freespace 2 a try

You've never played freespace 2....... omg

Anyway when you do load up freespace 2 make sure you get all the graphical mods and tweaks available as you'll be missing out even more
 
I loved Wing Commander Prophecy in my youth :) Thought it was amazing. I still have the manuals and books somewhere but lent the actual disks to a friend at school..forgot about it and years later realise how special it was.

I did have WC1 or 2 (not sure) on the Amiga Commodore but was too young to understand it.

Don't know if i'll try this game. I assume you can use a joystick?
 
Found my Joystick under the bed & Wing commander popped into my head, so only saw this now! I played the original in EGA (16 colours), it looked awful but sounded awesome thanks to the Soundblaster I had :) Downloading now, hopefully get a look before I hit the sack tonight.
