We've had a winter thread every year for the last 5? years and well every single time we get a forecast of something interesting in general it's been naff! Some snow here or there, but not a 2010 winter that's for damn sure :(

It's Autumn and Winter is fast approaching, will the white walkers make it or will will they stay beyond the wall? ;)

Much cooler last night had to have some form of heating on! I love winter but not looking forward to using the storage heaters

Coldest day so far I think, was up at 7 and felt distinctly cold! ( Not even winter yet )... Hope for snow :D

Summary
Some of the background signals suggested an elevated risk of colder periods developing during winter 2017/18. However some seasonal forecast models such as GloSea have been consistently pointing towards a milder and wetter than average season. Synoptic developments during November so far have been mixed but a tendency for higher pressure over Greenland has been present. The TWO winter forecast will be issued at the end of November.

It's snowing, not much at the moment!

So far everyone on the weather forums is looking towards a major cold attack mid feb 0-o

Good. Snows great when you’re a kid but as an adult I just find it and the associated cold a bloody nuisance.

Depends on how long it lasts, a couple of days of heavy snow and on the ground people will have to deal with it ;) - Weeks on end then yeh! I need Snow for photography, plus sick and tired of the drab, wet, muddy conditions we have at the moment :(
