Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

I’m good with the cold. Energy bills may be painful though and it’ll be a constant battle over the wife wanting a sauna and me wanting to save money on by putting a few layers on first.

Being too cold doesn't quite hit as hard as being too hot. There's basically no upper limit to how much you can heat your house, how many extra layers you can wear or how much exercise you can do to stay warm.

Options when too hot: remove at best 1 layer of clothes/be naked, lie in swimming pool... eat endless ice cubes? Real productivity hitters :D

You say that. Come winter I think people's bank balance will limit it

The people who will freeze to death this winter as they're too scared to put the heating on might disagree...

Being cold is worse. It grinds you down over time.

It was probably only 5-6 years ago I hated this weather too. Not really sure what changed. Might been stopping gym (weights) due to my knee issue. Hence dropping BMR and thus having a cooler body temp and less muscle mass.

Now I love 25-35. It would be my ideal to bounce around those temps most of the year.

Also being on the sea it really knocks a lot of the thermometer temp. So 35 feels like 30. And can always get in to cool down.
