Winter coming?

"Mr Darcy turned to his neighbour, as they both sat, warming themselves in front of the freshly set fire, and exclaimed

I could feel the cold outside my duvet last night and my bedside glass of water was positively chilly when I drunk some this morning.

..."

:D

Yup feels different now,Also getting dark early...i prefer winter though to be honest because then i don't suffer with Hay fever obviously, and were not sweating our nuts off at work.

+Xmas shopping. :p

It getting cold, windy and rainy these days. Feels like winter will come very soon. Anyone does not like winter :D

I frickin love winter.

Overall, I've enjoyed the coolness of summer. Could have done without the rain though.

Oh God! My thought exactly though I do not like cold very much. Hey fever was killing me this summer.

I expect the temperature will pick up again during September, I remember last year when it hit over 30 degrees during the last week of said month, was absolutely glorious weather.

I hope the winter this year is as bad as it was 2009 and 2010. Last winter was a bit of a fail.

I love hectic snow, causes mayhem and I like the panic :)

Be careful what you wish for. Our winters on the whole are decidedly tame. If we got struck by the weather they routinely see in Norway/Russia this country would be screwed.

Wasn't it only last year they were exclaiming the gas supplies were running low (cue panic and an excuse to bump up the price), because the temp dropped below zero for a week running.

Unlike most people I long for snowy winters, even with the hardship of trying to get to work and extra heating costs. I loved them when I was a kid and the magic has never left me. It's comforting to be indoors in the warm, watching a movie, whiskey in-hand with the snow falling heavy outside. Bliss!

I endured two winters in a row, first in Scotland and then in Australia (albeit a pale comparison of a Scottish winter), so today has been a long time coming and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful weather, now bring on the 40+ days, I'm ready for you.
